Selected work

01

IT operations

Humanities IT operations

Support for faculty, staff, and student employees across macOS, Windows, Apple hardware, collaboration tools, department applications, and classroom technology.

02

Research technology

AI machine translation platform

A frontend and containerized workflow for a faculty-led machine translation project, using Kubernetes and Docker/Podman on Nautilus research computing.

03

Python / network automation

Network Config Auditor

A dependency-free CLI that parses Cisco IOS-style configurations and reports security, management, switching, and routing issues with severity, line evidence, and remediation.

04

OSPF / failure testing

OSPF Resiliency Lab

A four-router FRRouting lab that proves equal-cost paths, injects a silent core failure, measures reconvergence, verifies reachability, and preserves machine-readable recovery evidence.

05

Web / systems diagnostics

Network Diagnostics Suite

A privacy-first browser test for throughput, latency distributions, jitter, request failures, and loaded responsiveness, paired with a Windows probe for packet loss, route, DNS, MTU, and TLS evidence.

06

C++ / transport protocols

Reliable Transport over UDP

A sliding-window file-transfer protocol with per-packet acknowledgements, timeout-based retransmission, deliberate DATA and ACK loss, out-of-order reassembly, and structured packet evidence.

07

C++ / HTTP / TLS

Concurrent Clear-to-Secure Proxy

A concurrent forward proxy that accepts clear-text HTTP, establishes verified TLS upstream, enforces reloadable hostname and IP policy, preserves response framing, and records structured access logs.

About

Most of my work sits where hardware, software, documentation, and people meet.

I started in hands-on support and am moving deeper into networking and infrastructure. I like work where the technical answer still has to make sense to the person using it.
